Zonori for AI assistants

Zonori has a read-only MCP server, so AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can answer "what's on in this place" with the public events listed on Zonori, each with a link to its page.

The server

MCP server
https://api.zonori.app/mcp

It speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. You don't sign in, and there's no key. Every tool only reads.

In Claude or ChatGPT, add it as a custom connector with the address above. In other MCP clients, add it as a remote server.

Tools

  • list_places: the places with a What’s on page this week, with each place's name, time zone and link.
  • whats_on: the public events listed in a place between two local days, within the next 7 days, earliest first. Takes the place's name and, if you like, the first and last day.
  • find_events: the same, for one activity, such as yoga, running or board games.

What it returns

For each event: the title, the start time with its time zone, the venue and area, how many are going (left out when no one is yet), who runs it, and a link to its Zonori page.

That is never more than the event's public page on zonori.app shows. It never returns who is going, an address beyond the venue, or anything from a private event.

Each link carries tags saying it came from an AI assistant and which one, so we can count how many pages are opened from these answers.

Limits

  • 30 requests a minute from one address, and 600 a minute in all. Past that it answers 429 with Retry-After.
  • At most 50 events in one answer, and only the next 7 days.
  • Answers can be up to 10 minutes old.

What we keep

A count of tool calls per day by assistant and tool, and a count of pages opened from the links in its answers per day by assistant, kept 35 days. Nothing about who asked or what else they asked. The privacy page has the details.
